It all started...
- 1995: New Brunswick
- First edition of Fredericton Fruit Bowl Indoor 7 on 7 tournament.
- 1998: Creation of the 4 on 4 abeille gelée league, Québec city
- In small Cégep gymnasiums

2003 - today
- 2003: Firsts non private 4 on 4 Tournaments
- First edition of Mars Attaque (Québec), Coup de Foudre (Sherbrooke), Bye Bye (Trois-Rivières)
- 2004: No pull rule
- In February 2004, Sherbrooke Coup de Foudre Tournament first adopted the No pull rule. This was followed by Mars Attaque Tournament in March 2004 and later called Quebec City Rule by Ottawa players.
2005: Rimouski La Flotte first edition
2007: First Annual Meeting (AGA) of the Fédération québécoise d'ultimate (FQU)
2007: Creation of the Circuit québécois d'ultimate 4 contre 4 (CQU4)
- 2008: Artificial turf Soccer complexes
- In February 2008, Sherbrooke Coup de Foudre was the first 4 on 4 tournament to be held inside an artificial turf Soccer complexe.
2009: First 4 on 4 Ultimate tournament in Montreal

III. Playing Field
- 20m x 30m
- End-zone depth: 3 meters
V. Length of game
- No point limit
- Very Hard cap at 50 minutes (finish point only if tie)
- Half time at 9 points
VIII. Starting and Restarting Play
- Only 2 pools per game (starting each half)
- No pool after a point : defensive check
Gender Ratio
- Mixed : 2 men-2 women or 3 men-1 women (offense choice)

Tournaments in Quebec
Teams are accepted to play in tournaments according to the following criteria:
- Roster was sent to FQU
- Payment is done
- Geographic representation
- Good spirit history of the team
- Caliber of the team
Average cost of a tournament:
- done on Artificial Soccer Turf is 400$
- done in a gymasium : around 300$
Is included:
- Day food (a lot more than 3 bananas per team)
- Saturday Night Dinner
- Saturday Night Party
- And more...
Finally, 4 on 4 tournaments are perfect opportunity for FQU meetings

Let
- M be the number of points given to the winner of a tournament.
- N be the number of teams which receive points

For each tournaments, the parameters are
- Grand Chelem : M=1000 and N=50
- La Flotte : M=800 and N=32
- Petit Chelem : M=400 and N=16

Quebec Ultimate 4 on 4 Championship
The Quebec Ultimate 4 on 4 Championship is held at the end of the season in April. Since 2011, the top 16 teams of the Ranking are invited.

To participate, players must be member of an association part of FQU.
Impacts on development
The 4 on 4 Quebec Ultimate Circuit (CQU4)
- Offers high level Ultimate during Winter
- Builds relationships between players from all over the province
- Quickens the growth of the competitive community (more than during Summer)
- Provides visibility to new players
- Enhances participation to Ultimate 7 on 7 Spring Try Outs
In recent years, several Quebec Summer teams added B teams to their program:
